Okavango Delta: Sundown with African Wild Dogs

RANDY2.jpg

On safari, you have to expect the unexpected! Just when we thought the day was done, we rounded the corner to find a small pack of wild dogs. Spotting African wild dogs (or African painted dogs), in this area of the Delta is rare – there are less than 3,000 wild dogs in all of Africa.

Wild dogs are very social animals and display compassionate behavior within their pack. It's a treat to watch them in action. We ended our day spending the last light with these special animals.

Little Vumbura has exceeded our expectations on this trip!
