Night Time Traffic Jam – Grand Canal, Venice, Italy

The Grand Canal as seen from the Rialto Bridge.  Navigation lights from the myriad of boats coming and going, gives the impression that everyone is running into one another.  Although I witnessed several near misses while I was making this photograph, everything seemed work out just fine.  Something tells me that these folks have been doing this for more than a couple of days.

While night photography has its challenges, it is something I truly enjoy doing, epically when motion is involved.

Shooting details:  Hasselblad H6D50C, HCD 35-90mm @ 60mm, ISO 100, f/11 at 181 seconds. Exposed to maintain highlights.  Very little processing in LR other than color correction, - love this camera.
